Daniel Bayard, a fellow author, has convinced L&D Publishing to offer the website, HaitianAuthors.com, at L&D’s expense, with no financial contribution from authors to promote your books.
Each author will have a page to talk about themselves and solicit the sales of their book(s)
Sales can be linked directly to Amazon, the Author’s website, or choose to use the L&D Bookstore.
If a book is sold on the site, no commission will be collected; however, a credit card and web processing fee of 5% will be deducted from the sale price to cover costs.
Florida sales taxes will be collected and paid by the customer. L&D will file and pay taxes.
L&D will notify the author of the book sale with the name, address, and email of the client if sold from its bookstore. It is the author's responsibility to mail customers’ books promptly.
L&D will send the Zelle proceeds (less 5%) to the author when the credit card processor remits payment weekly.
If, for any reason, the customer of the author stops payment on the credit card, the author agrees to compensate the said sum to L&D.
For the author to participate, they must provide a contact email list of at least 100 names with permission to email for the group newsletter, which will benefit all authors. The more emails provided, the higher the author will be listed on the site. Emails can be added at any time after the initial batch.
On every author page, all authors will be promoted so that each author helps the others.
L&D reserves the right to add more conditions or terminate the program at its discretion. The author reserves the right to do the same.
